What is the purpose of my life? What is my soul purpose?
What is the purpose of my life/ what is my soul purpose? A question that many try to seek an answer to...... Thinking that this is the ultimate goal of the path of spirituality......... a path that everyone who becomes philosophical, after getting shaken up badly by twists and turns of life, seems to find solace in. But, do we know what it is to be spiritual......( If you think you can define this word precisely, do answer in the comments), Is it becoming philosophically emotional and peaceful on the surface? Is it cutting oneself from all that causes disharmony in one's life? Is it accepting that what one is facing is because of the bad karmas they did in a previous life?
And the next step to becoming spiritual is to find the purpose of life.
Everyone who becomes spiritual has the sole agenda.......helping people.
But isn't there something more to do before you begin that ........ Or to do alongside that. Selfhealing Selflove Accepting the fact that you need to heal your ownself as well.
The answer to this that I mostly get from the people whom I come across, as learners, as seekers, as healers, as mentors, and in my own family and extended family, is
"Oh, I do self-healing practice ( as per the modality/practice they follow) and meditation regularly. I do gratitude and forgiveness exercises as well."
But is this enough? Answer- "I am practicing to detach myself from the drama of life/ drama of people in my life."
Are you successful in it?
Answer- "Yes, I have stopped reacting to whatever negative is thrown towards/ upon me."
Does it work?
Answer- "Most of the times."
Do you feel healed up? Answer- "What else can I do?
I invest time and money to learn many more things to come out of the web, but ultimately there is something that pulls me back. None of the efforts seem successful.
I am good at healing others, I have been successful at almost all the cases but when it comes to me myself, i am unable to get the same results."
I would be fooling you (and myself) if I say that I haven't gone through the same.
So, what should I do?
The key to these questions lies in the words realization acceptance changing oneself releasing expectations surrender Big words........ but aren't we all doing all these things already?
I mean, everyone says, "Yes, I realise that I must have done something wrong to that person, I accept my mistakes and seek forgiveness, thereby I am changing and yes, I believe in the Divine power (so I am surrendering)........"
Then what is the issue???
The issue is We are categorising the actions, but the intention does not stay strong once we find how difficult it is to follow it to the literal sense of each word. Do we readily accept that my mistake is I did not think from a perspective that is not actually mine but from the POV of a spectator of the whole drama around me. Do we realise that the people / the situation we come across are a mirror reflection of actually who we are and what we think. What we think about the people in our lives is actually what we are.......
If someone's there who tries to control us, it means we are the ones who have that subconscious habit and have tried to control others in our past, .......
If someone's abusive in our life, actually we have done the same in our life earlier with someone.......
If our money gets stuck with someone repeatedly, it is us who had not given back someone's money in our past. So the block is our own past actions and thoughts that have brought about the misery we are facing now. Do we change to suit our own intentions, the fulfillment of our own desires?
Or
Do we change our mindset and do what we should do, and not what we want to do? Do we really release expectations (left with no desires to control others, to receive appreciation/rewards/approval, to feel secure and not lost)? Lastly, do we really surrender? Is it surrender to the flow or Is it surrender to the process or is it surrender of desire of expecting specific results? So, the summary is the soul purpose is actually the sole purpose of learning the lessons from the mistakes we have made in the journey of life till date...... mend them and do not repeat them. Only then we can come out of the web/ the twists and turns/ the failures/ the disharmony. And merge back into the Divine love and light. Dr. Archanna Bhadoria.
